 Susan
Chalmers was born and brought up in Glasgow but now lives in Retford,
a market town in North Nottinghamshire.Having trained initially at missionary training college in Berwick on Tweed Susan spent 11 years with the Baptist Missionary Society in Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo). Further theological and mission studies and research followed the return to Scotland in 1991 leading to a BA (Hons) from Glasgow Bible College and later a Masters degree in Theology from New College, Edinburgh. Research papers concentrated on pastoral issues relating to those involved in cross-cultural mission. More recently she served as Personnel Manager with Action Partners based at Bawtry in South Yorkshire for 8 years. Susan is an active member of her local church, Retford New Life Christian Fellowship where she is a deacon and member of the church’s mission group. |
