Member Care comes out of Susan Chalmers own experience as a mission partner
overseas and in the home staff of a mission.
Susan trained initially at missionary training college in Berwick on Tweed before spending 11 years with the Baptist Missionary Society in Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo). Further theological and mission studies and research followed the return to Scotland in 1991 leading to a BA (Hons) 1st Class from Glasgow Bible College and later a Masters degree in Theology from New College, Edinburgh. Research papers concentrated on pastoral issues relating to those involved in cross-cultural mission. Her heart to care for and support those preparing for, or involved in, cross cultural Christian ministry developed from her study, research, personal and ministry experience. In offering Services in Member Care Susan seeks to meet needs and facilitate others in their ministry. |
